Persuasive design, dark patterns and attention design are all disciplines and methods of design aimed at capturing users attention and data. These practices are largely part of the services we use on a daily basis, and heavily based on theorie as well. Although fairly unknown to the general public, these design methods certainly challenge the idea of a free and informed user who consents to a digital service, as well as the transmission of personal data. This workshop will give participants keys to help identify some of these features and allow them to explore the issues behind them.
